Replacement

Replacement starts with an assessment, not a sales pitch. We measure, check the ducts and electrical, and put every option in writing with the same scope list, so you can compare the work as well as the equipment.

1What to check first

  • Roughly how old is the system? Not sure is fine.
  • How many systems serve the home?
  • Where is the equipment: roof, ground, attic or closet? Look from the yard only.
  • Have a quote already? Check what it covers first.

2What we do

  • Assess the load, ducts, electrical and access.
  • Write up each option with the same scope list.
  • Plan permits and access before work starts.
  • Commission the system and hand over the records.

3What it costs

  • $0 assessment in this demo.
  • Illustrative budgets by equipment type, below.
  • Crane, permits, duct and electrical work are separate if needed.
  • Tax is not calculated here. The written quote shows it.

Who it is for

  • Homeowners in our four Phoenix areas with one system that keeps failing or is near the end of its life.
  • Anyone holding a replacement quote who wants the scope compared line by line.
  • Not for a stopped system in summer: call first.

Included

  • One matched replacement system at the existing location with the components named in its equipment scope
  • Standard installation labor and ordinary access
  • Removal of replaced equipment
  • Commissioning and handover

Not included

  • Crane or specialist lifting
  • Permits and inspections if required
  • Duct reconstruction
  • Electrical upgrades
  • Any separately applicable tax
  • Gas-line changes
  • Roof or structural work
  • Rebates, tax credits and financing

Price basis

The assessment is free. The budgets below are illustrative assumptions for one system in the stated equipment scope, from planner data reviewed October 12, 2026. Age, home size and label tonnage never change them. The written quote after the assessment sets the total and shows tax.

How the job runs

  1. Free assessment at home. Priya or a technician measures the load and checks the ducts, electrical and access.
  2. Written options. Each option uses the same scope list, with exclusions spelled out.
  3. You compare and decide. Nobody here earns commission, so take the time you need.
  4. Permits and access planned. Roof access, lifting and inspection are arranged before the day.
  5. Install, commission, hand over. Owen’s crew checks the system runs and leaves the records. Installation labor is covered for 24 months.

Rooftop package quote, two gaps

A 12-year-old packaged heat pump on the roof, still working. The written quote stated 10 of 12 scope items. Access and lifting, and permit responsibility, went back to the contractor as questions. The check gave no verdict on the price.

Replacement reviews

Reviews on this demo are written by Vulpesco. Names are shortened, and no review platform is involved.

  • We had two replacement quotes that looked the same. The scope list showed one left out the permit and the crane. We asked, and that price changed.

    Ken T., Central Phoenix,

  • The rooftop swap took two days, not one, because the roof curb needed work. They told us before starting and the written scope matched the final invoice.

    Renee A., Sunnyslope,

  • Priya measured every room before anyone talked about tonnage. We compared three written options with the same line items and took our time.
