No cooling right now?
This demo cannot dispatch help. Call an operating local HVAC provider about availability, and do not wait for a website reply.
If anyone is in danger
Smoke, a gas smell, a carbon monoxide alarm or immediate danger: leave the danger area and contact emergency services from a safe place.
Confusion, slurred speech or loss of consciousness in the heat: call 911.
1. Call first
A fictional number: this demo connects no calls. Phone cover (demo hours) runs from May to October, daily, 7 AM to 9 PM, Phoenix time. Outside those hours there is no monitored line, so call an operating local HVAC provider.
2. While you wait
- Move to an air-conditioned place if you can. The City of Phoenix lists current cooling centers and hours.
- Stay clear of wet electrical equipment.
- Do not climb onto the roof, open the equipment or reset outdoor units.
3. Renting?
Tell the owner or manager about the problem and keep a record. The office confirms who can authorize work. The City of Phoenix landlord and tenant resources have current guidance.
Cooling stopped? Call first.
Cooling still running, but something changed? Send a request instead, and the office replies.
